Instant Home Remedy to Remove Pimples

Instant Home Remedy to Remove Pimples

It affects 85 percent of teenagers ages 18 to 24, 60 million American suffer from it, and 20 million Americans experience a severe enough case to cause scars. These statistics are about those who suffer from acne. Acne-Resource.org compiled these statistics to show Americans that they are not alone in their suffering. Thankfully, there are some home remedies that can significantly shorten the length of an outbreak.

    Preparation

  1. When applying a treatment, be sure to wash your hands before starting. Dirt and bacteria can be easily spread from hands to the face. This can lead to potential outbreaks in a few days. Before applying any treatment on the face, do a small "patch test" to see if the skin has any reactions to the chemicals or ingredients. This is especially important for those with sensitive skin.
  2. Common Ingredients

  3. Home remedy treatments are the safest and most cost-effective way to help treat acne. They are also convenient because no prescription is necessary. The ingredients used in home remedies are extremely common and cheap to purchase. These common ingredients used in home remedies range from oatmeal to garlic to aspirin tablets. Other ingredients include tomatoes, toothpaste, nutmeg, milk and honey.
  4. Mask

  5. There are many different face masks one can make to help reduce the size of a pimple. It is often recommended to leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes. Some women like to sleep with them on; however, this can cause irritation for those with sensitive skin and may become messy.
Ayurvedic-Medicine.com recommends a garlic face mask because garlic contains antibiotic properties. It is also safe to use in moderation on the skin. To make a mask, mash the garlic and apply the mashed garlic to the face. Let the mask remain on the face for ten minutes before washing it off.
Aspirin contains BHA (beta hydroxy acid) which is a powerful exfoliate that unclogs pores. Grind an aspirin tablet and mix the resulting powder with water. This can be used as either a scrub or a mask.
  6. Scrub

  7. Nutmeg mixed with milk can be an effective scrub to help reduce the size of a pimple. Simply grind the nutmeg, mix the powder with a very small amount of milk (enough to make a paste), and apply the paste to the face. With a clean washcloth, gently scrub the mixture onto the face before washing it off with warm water.
In a small bowl, mix ¼ cup of uncooked plain oatmeal with warm milk and a few drops of honey. Mix the ingredients together and apply the mixture to your face. Let the mask sit for five minutes and rinse it off.
  8. Spot Treatment

  9. Toothpaste and calamine lotion both have drying properties, and can be applied to a pimple to reduce swelling and inflammation. When using toothpaste, chose a paste that is white and has no additional flavoring (such as cinnamon or vanilla). Both toothpaste and calamine lotion can be left on overnight and washed off in the morning for an effective spot treatment.

How to Identify Face & Skin Problems

Skin problems can be caused by many factors, both internal and external. Some of these factors include genetics, allergies, air pollution, weather conditions, harsh detergents, medications and lack of proper nutrition. In order to successfully treat skin problems it is important that the problem be correctly identified. Identifying face and skin problems is not that difficult, as long as you know what to look for.
Instructions
  1. Step1
Check the skin on your cheeks, forehead, scalp, neck, elbows, legs, knees, forearms, or ankles for hot, dry and itchy patches. This generally indicates a condition known as eczema. Eczema is generally caused by genetics but symptoms can be aggravated by environmental factors such as extreme heat or cold.
  2. Step2
Check the scalp, elbows, knees and trunk for dry, itchy, cracking and painful skin featuring red, inflamed, raised lesions that are covered by silvery white scales. These are all symptoms of the skin disorder called psoriasis. The causes of psoriasis are not clearly known, however genetics seem to be a common factor. Stress, weather, infection, and medications can all trigger a psoriasis flare up.
  3. Step3
Look for signs of redness and swelling on the scalp, face, chest, ears and back accompanied by skin lesions that look like pimples. Rosacea, a chronic skin disease, is usually associated with these symptoms. The cause of rosacea is still unknown as it has not been scientifically proven, however many believe that rosacea is a vascular disorder.

The Best Way to Remove Permanent Marker From the Skin

Permanent markers contain dyes or pigments to give the ink color and a combination of ingredients to keep the ink from fading. These markers are water resistant and adhere to most surfaces including skin. It is common to accidentally get ink on your skin while using permanent markers. These marks will be difficult to clean off with water and may seem impossible to remove. Fortunately, permanent markers stains will not permanently stain your skin, as they can be removed with rubbing alcohol and other solutions.

      How to Cleanse Dry Skin

Cleansing plays a very important role in skin care. Many people are unaware of how to care for their skin according to skin type, however. Dry skin can be especially difficult to cleanse because although it is necessary to get rid of oils, this skin type is less likely to retain moisture than other skin types. There are a number of ways to prevent dry skin from becoming dehydrated during the cleansing process.
      Instructions

      Things You'll Need:

      • Cleanser
      • Exfoliator
      • Moisturizer
      1. Step1
Choose the right cleanser for dry skin. It is best to opt for a cleanser which is light to moderate in texture. Cleansers which are oil-free tend to be the best option for most skintypes, but dry skin can actually benefit from the oils which are found in skin-care products containing oil.
      2. Step2
Determine when to cleanse dry skin. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the best time for people with dry skin to wash their face is at night because this is when it is dirtiest. Cleansing dry skin at other times of the day may remove the skin's natural oils.
      3. Step3
Know how often to cleanse dry skin. Most people with dry skin will find that the only time they do need to cleanse the skin is at night. Some may find that they can benefit from cleansing in the morning as well. It ultimately depends on the person and their lifestyle. For those who only cleanse the skin at night, it is ideal to rinse the face with water in the morning to give the skin some added moisture.
      4. Step4
Be sure to exfoliate the skin after cleansing. There are cleansing products which include exfoliators, or exfoliating products which can be purchased separately. Exfoliating dry skin is very important because it will remove the dead skin cells. Since many people who have dry skin tend to experience flakes, this is an essential key to skin that looks great.
      5. Step5
Apply moisturizer to dry skin after cleansing it. Although it is necessary to use a moisturizer on all skin types, it is especially important for dry skin. A moisturizing product will help prevent the skin from becoming flaky. Keep in mind that it is important to only apply a minimal amount of moisturizer because putting on too much will cause the skin to become greasy and block the pores.

How to Make Dry Skin Cleansing Oil

Dry skin cleansing oil is a simple and natural product that adds essential oils back into skin. Winter weather is particularly tough on skin as low temperatures and high winds rob skin of its natural oils. Homemade skin care products are often much less expensive than store brands. You'll also avoid unnecessary and potentially dangerous additives and preservatives used to stabilize commercial products.

This recipe includes ingredients that will help with dry skin, and are gentle enough to be used on any skin type. Most ingredients are fairly common, but can be difficult to find at regular grocery stores. These ingredients can also be found under Resources below.
            Instructions

            Things You'll Need:

            • 5 Tablespoons of Sweet Almond Oil
            • 1 Tablespoon of Beeswax
            • 1 Tablespoon of Chamomile Tea
            • 2 Teaspoons of Aloe Vera Gel
            • 7 Drops of Carrot Seed Essential Oil
            • 1/4 Teaspoon of Borax
            1. Step1
Use a double broiler set on low to melt the beeswax with the sweet almond oil.
            2. Step2
In another pan, gently warm the tea and aloe vera gel with the heat set to low. Once warmed, add in the borax and stir until the borax is completely dissolved.
            3. Step3
Remove both pans from the stove and pour the aloe vera gel and tea into the beeswax and almond oil pan. Pour it in slowly, whisking the mixture together gently as you do.
            4. Step4
Add in the carrot seed oil, then whisk everything together gently.
            5. Step5
Store the mixture in a small plastic container with a lid. It will stay fresh for 30 days if left at room temperature, however if the room temperature is steadily above 80 I suggest storing it in the fridge and taking it out an hour before use. When using the cleanser, use about 1 tablespoon at a time.
