Personality is one of the most critical and subjective evaluation criteria used by interviewers. To make a good impression in the minds of your interviewer, you should exhibit the following:
Exude enthusiasm, do not be nervous.
Display confidence, composure and show a sense of purpose.
Sit upright, but don’t appear to be eager. Be mindful of your posture throughout.
Lean forward occasionally to express keen attention.
Always pause before you answer any question, no matter how familiar you are with the issue.
Avoid too much talking. (some candidates are too eager to impress the interviewer that they scarceley allow questions to be asked)
Be focused and rational
Be consistent throughout the interview.
Display a healthy sense of humour.
Be warm and sincere.
Never lie about a mistake. Make known your approach to rectifying mistakes.
If your interviewer is interrupted by phone call or called outside, try and remember where you people stopped, incase the person will need you to remind him or her the topic before the interruption.
Never make a phone call while waiting.
Ask pertinent questions. Unless you need to clarify a question or statement made by the interviewer, do not ask questions until you are invited to do so. If given the opportunity, do not bombard the interviewer with questions during the interview. Keep any question simple and concise.
Focus your questions on the job and the company.
A CV simply stand's for "curriculum Vitae" normally called in the UK.It is also called "Resume" in the US and other parts of the world. It simply means a brief written account of ones past history[eg education, employment experience],used when applying for a job.
CV and resume are sometimes interchanged,so it shouldn't confuse you.No two CV's can be the same because each individual has his/her own individual experience, training.Your CV is meant to be as individual as you are,so hopefully after the end of this article you will be able to write a CV that is concise, factual and an attractive piece of document that will give you an interview spot.
Writing of CV should be taken seriously. Why?because in job search/interviews where there are so many candidates going for the same job, screening can be done by just looking at someones CV and application, this is why precision should be taken in writing CV's and letters of application of which I'll deal with effectively.
Many people have different views about CV layout.Again no two CV's will be the same, the design of your CV should reflect your personality and how suitable it is for the job you are going for.for instance an accountants CV is different from that of an engineer.Usually,a CV is normally typed using Microsoft except stated by the company for handwritten CV,otherwise make use of a PC.
Writing pattern
-It is not uncommon in this age to find short hand form of word or jargon/slang in letter which may be acceptable in informal writing. It is very necessary that you don't include those in CV writing, use clear and simple English that will be understandable by your interviewer. As much as possible I'll advice you avoid the use of complex.
